Andew is correct, and the most direct indication that Sanctus Real is speaking to God, the God of the Bible, is in the word "Hallelujah." That is an ancient word that the Hebrew children would have used even thousands of years ago, and means "Praise [you] the LORD," the "God" part being in "Jah" like "Eli-jah" ("The LORD is God") or "Jah-ovah". This is a wonderful song. I just heard it in an unplugged version, and it's still great. Praise the LORD, indeed. -EW |
