This is one of my favorite songs. Always biographical, I think Lennon was simply commenting on on his current state of mind. Most Lennon songs feel like conversations with him and the listener, like he is trying to tell them something. To me he's saying.... -Just because the percepetion is that I'm doing nothing doesnt mean that I am bored -You don't have to defend being content -People will always try to give you advice even when you don't ask for it In the end I think he is saying the key is to live your life the way you want to and the only opinion that really matters is your own. |
