GREAT SONG!! im pretty sure the songs about his dog, Strider (Aragorn) named after the ranger from The Lord Of The Rings. but i also think this song could be about loving a girl too, thats what i originaly thought when i heard it for the first time. i love how Plant has so many references to The Lord Of The Rings, there are many othere songs, like Achillies Last Stand that have these references...
and for you people that think Stairway To Heaven is the best song ever.. YOU ARE WRONG! im sick of people refering to Staiway or even Kashmir when talking about Zeppelin.. its soo annoying.. any true fan knows theres sooo much more to Zeppelin then just those few well known song.. |

why does everybody complain so much about some of the different songs be the yeah yeah yeahs!?! im sick of "ohh this song isn't that good, i dont really like this", or people only liking a few songs from their newest album. people just need to stop being so mainstream all the time. this song is fantastic! |

I read somewhere that this song was written about karens girlfriend she had when she was younger. She was in love with her but it wasnt accepted. Thats just what ive heard. |
