I just stumbled upon this web site. This is very cool !!! This song has a deep meaning to me, in fact I was considering getting the lyrics tattooed on me "from yesterday it's coming". This was the first song I hit when I found this web site. Interesting to see how others perceive it. To me it's a song about something that has been done in the past something so strong and powerful, almost like a monster. And that monster will never leave you it is haunting and remind you that it is always there (in the past) and it just might show up. Or, "it's coming". "From Yesterday" is the monster and it's coming. Quitting drugs is what the song means to me. Knowing that at one time I had absolutely no control. Finally 12 years later I quit but I know that feeling is still there and I know that "it's coming" "from yesterday." If you've ever smoked crack then you will understand you can't control it and it is a monster. |
