Personally, I think the "I love you in the same way there's a chapel in a hospital" has something to do with the idea of faith only being present when it's needed - i.e. being sick, surviving a suicide attempt, etc - or perhaps faith being present when it's too late? Just speculation. |

| I actually agree with nattylove614 - I think this song is about the loss of a loved one to death. The specific parts of the song that lead me to this belief are the mention of her face "haunting" him, the fact that it's been more than a couple years, and the fact that he never once mentions her living, him seeing her, her having a new man, etc. It appears she is only a memory. | |
