This song is great but it reminds me of a past relationship. When i was in it, we both thought we fell in love, but at times, i didn't really feel the love, and i tried to keep it to myself but then it just started going down hill so i let go...and she tried "desperately" to hold on, but it was no use. The verse below says everything i felt. So, i think that this song is about two people that fell in love, but the guy realized that the relationship was not what he had hoped it to be.
