i love this song to pieces. it fits perfectly in twilight to explain the relationship between bella and edward. The lyrics in this song are so perfectly written to explain bella's emotions- Hayley wrote them--she is so so talented. Amazing how she can portray bella's feelings and emotion so well in a song. I think the chorus relates more to new moon though. "How did we get here? When i used to know you so well." Doesn't it seem like that line is talking about how when bella and edward are having problems in the relationship and he ends up having to leave her? And bella is just so confused, wondering how they got to this point in their perfect relationship and wondering why edward is leaving her and not knowing what he is thinking- when she used to know him so well. anyone agree? |

paramore wrote this song specifically fot the twilight soundtrack and it makes perfect sense, especially in edwards point of view. But i just dont get how certain parts relate. for example-- "You're not the one I believe in With god as my witness" why wouldnt he believe in her? and how does God fit into it? and why does it say "but i know in my heart it's not you." ?? |
