Great song off the new album, really catchy. I think it might be about piracy, who downloads large free discographies/movies vs the consumer, who buys their cds or mp3s, dvds etc, one at a time. But maybe not. |

I don't want to be that guy that says every 70s song is about drugs but, for this one I think its about "shooting up" to the moon, taking drugs to get high etc (shoot up heroin etc). Shoot em up to the moon. He wanted to have a good run, heard itd be fun, but he had taken enough and didn't want the drugs anymore. |

I guess its about nobody giving enough respect to the working backbone of today's society, even when they get paid almost nothing and eventually end up destroyed physically because of the hard work and then can not pay for their medical conditions later in life. Amazing song by electric six once again. |

I think it is about Jesus and his crucifixion at first. Him, the joker, and the Thief, his crucified company. Christ is talking about how everyone's lost their way and nobody cares, drinking his blood for pleasure, and ruining his earth for their needs, without knowing where any of it came from and not caring otherwise. The thief, crucified with Christ, knows the worth of these things, and tells hims that you can't really do nothing to make these other people change how they think and value these things, because they are the criminals, and will be executed soon.
I think the watchtower part is the history of men. The leaders, or princes, could even be replaced with men as the prejudice is that men are the leaders of humankind, kept the same view as the businessmen and plowmen and what not, believing everything Christ said was a joke and nothing holds value, while women and servants, which I think are supposed to mean just about everyone else who doesn't have any authority amongst the direction of the human race, along history some of them believe in what the Joker and the Thief were talking about, but not enough to save the world from the wildcat, or the "Evil" or maybe "Judgement" that was coming. And the Death, followed by Hades on horseback from Revelation 6:8 is a good interpretation of who the two horse riders could be. |

I can't put my finger on it, but this is one of my favorite songs to just listen to sometimes.
As for an interpretation, I have no idea. I guess if a lot of people support you you can never be wrong, and as long as you go along with it, you'll be on top in no time. I guess thats why his mom says Miguel Bose isn't the same without Bimba Bose, because everyone likes their hit song together, and not so much Miguel solo? And then he wants to know why people are even listening to Miguel in the USA because Miguel doesn't have any ties with it. I dunno haha an oldie but a goodie. |

Well, obviously about death, the girl is a ghost watching him, and then he dies and gets the white ghosts eyes. Never really got it til I knew what the lyrics were though haha, thought it was a coke song. Another great hit though. |

This song means a lot to me. I'm leaving this summer to join the service because of bad times here, no jobs, and living in a dead end city, and my father still tells me to stay, everything I know is here, and that when I can't make it he'll help me out, but he doesn't understand that's not enough. We gotta make our value in the world, and Cat Stevens puts it best in this song. It's a hard thing to do, but sometimes you just have to do it anyway. |

I can't believe no one's commented this song yet! One of my favorite Who songs by far. Just fun to listen to relax to. I think it's about being paranoid when you're trying to sleep? Or just having a horrible night's sleep for a while then finally after a while finding the best rest of your life. Or maybe it's about how life's rough, all the way til the end when you're buried six feet under some flowers! Anyway, great song. |

Anyone else notice the beat from Gary Numan and the Tubeway Army's Down in the park in mixed in the background? I thought I noticed it in the beginning but then I knew it was there in the rift between the verses. |
