Michael Jackson – Dirty Diana Lyrics 16 years ago
This is totally my favorite MJ song. Micheal achieved his musical status because he realized that popular music and pop culture reflected the times and changed with the day. When this song came out rock and HAIR music seemed to be the trend and MJ really worked it within his style and made the rock trend applicable to his brand.

This IS about Princess Diana. She was a HUGE fan of Off The Wall and Thriller. I'm pretty sure this song is off of Bad. Micheal found out about Diana's feelings about his music and he choose to write a song for her. Unfortunately the man who realized so much about music didn't understand how to flatter a woman properly... When writing the song he chose a concept to which he had written about before (Billie Jean) and also something he experienced with his brothers growing up in their band.

Diana was not flattered by the song. She felt degraded by the concept of HER being a low groupiee. Can you blame her? Micheal apologized and it was all with good intention.

I think this is my favorite song by MJ. It reflects more of the musical styles that I listen to and I also do appreciate the sexiness of the song. I think the song itself is underrated and I do agree that the music video STINKS.

I also don't think the lyrics posted here are correct. I'm just not hearing some of these lyrics?

Lee Ann Womack – Either Way Lyrics 16 years ago
How could this not have been here when I went to look for it?

It's one of my favorite songs off the CALL ME CRAZY album. I've never been married but I understand the idea of just being there. You can do whatever you want... it's not going to change how I feel.

Ha. Until you've been drunk dialed you never appreciate a song like this.

Asshole.

It feels better when you're finally strong enough not to pick up.

Hes in love with. Shes different and its been an ongoing thing for him.

everywhere I go people stop and they see
twenty-five years old my mother God rest her soul <---- I don't think it's his mothers death. Pretty sure it's the marriage..

Shes unsure.

he just wants to be in love and hes sick of her waiting to "figure shit out."

Fleetwood Mac – Landslide Lyrics 16 years ago
The live version is amazing. She comments that it's for her father.

I know that her grandfather had a big deal with her artistic side.

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
Because I've built my life around you

It's about moving on and growing up. She doesn't know if she will be able to handle life without him... but she's going to try. She's asking him not to rely on her as much.

Fleetwood Mac – Gypsy Lyrics 16 years ago
Lay off Canada. That's what you came here for.

Anywho.

Stevie is amazing. I love her. She's my favorite. Almost everyone knows that this song was written about a friend of Stevie's and Lindsey's.

To me it's about how every connection with someone is different. A friend can be like a gypsy. Able to read your cards and understand your soul. These amazing people come and go in our lives and we never forget what they brought us.

It's also speaking of how Stevie herself is a gypsy... Roaming. Trying to find purpose. It obviously was devastating when she lost her friend.

What I love about this...

Eleanor Bergstein (Dirty Dancing's writer) was on a plane with Patrick. He gave her a tape to listen to a song... and it was this.

What I love about this so much is that it shows a softer side to Johnny. It was a perfect theme because it is music in the film that helps you understand that the biggest change in a character is Johnny...

I agree with the wind blowing concept.

She's like the wind through my tree
(She crosses his bath and sets motion in him)
She rides the night next to me
(Hard line... I actually consulted a friend and that didn't go anywhere. I'd love input!)
She leads me through moonlight
Only to burn me with the sun
(She's there in the day but not the night. Maybe they're strictly sex. It could be more metaphoric.)
She's taken my heart
But she doesn't know what she's done
(She doesn't know he's that deep)

I look in the mirror and all I see
Is a young old man with only a dream
(He thinks he's passed the point of having anything to offer her.)
Am I just fooling myself
That she'll stop the pain
(He's setting this possible love up to be all reason for life)
Living without her
I'd go insane

I guess this is just one of those love songs that every girl likes... because they wish that it was about them!

I honestly think some people run to this song... and they have no idea of what this kind of man is. he has depression. Some serious depression... or at least thats what I think..

I think she knows it. I'm pretty sure shes wondering how this is all going to play out.

But... thats my interpretation... a

Pat Benatar – Rated X Lyrics 16 years ago
This reminds me of a friend of mine.

It's about a woman who uses her looks to find love... the only issue is she looks in places where aren't looking for love. The men she goes after tend to be rich... and they have to be? Because she's not going to be attracted to a man who can't support her lifestyle. She doesn't understand that.

I think it's about one of those unspoken relationships. You know where the two of you maybe perhaps have an emotional connect and for one reason or another it's not ''OUT THERE.'' (Maybe both people are married to someone else?)

I think there may also be a story about a young woman who just wants to break free from her mundaine life.

James Blunt – Carry You Home Lyrics 17 years ago
She’s a solider. She doesn’t agree with the war, but shes fighting it anyway.

LINES:

“”And she says it's high time she went away
No one's got much to say in this town”””

America people aren’t fighting hard enough for her to go home.

“”A song for your heart, but when it is quiet
I know what it means and I'll carry you home,””

She died. He’s going to remember her struggle and fight harder for the things he wants in life

””And they were all born pretty in New York City tonight””

The only thing I can understand from this line is that everything is beautiful on the home front?

“”And someone's little girl was taken from the world tonight.
Under the Stars and Stripes””

It’s America’s fault that she died. OR When a soldier is buried a flag is placed on top of the casket. It could go either way… lucky for James.

Eagles – No More Walks In The Wood Lyrics 17 years ago
The first set of lyrics is about someone forgetting the beauty in a relationship.
The second set is about discovering falling out of love.
The last is about learning to live with lost love.

I also think this song has a good chunk to do with reforming the band, or the bands new structure.

It's also metaphoric to speak politically about loosing the precious things we have, like the land.
