| The Junior Varsity – Mad For Medusa Lyrics | 17 years ago |

First of all, it's not about an adult bookstore. While there is a place in Bloomington called Medusa's, that is completely and utterly false. Somebody with too much time on their hands made that shit up. Sorry to burst your bubble. Quoting my brother asa, "it is about nothing really dude" and there you have it. |

| The Junior Varsity – I'm Home, Hooray! Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Being Asa's brother, this song is one of my personal favorites. It deals with a intense winter our family went through. "Georgia's coming back to claim my brother's half But my full blood stepped back" This is in reference to my biological father returning to Illinois from Georgia to 'find' me while Asa's biological father stepped out of the picture. "I cut the ground and cracked the earth A hole in December is worth the work And all that it appears to be This pet cemetary Is where I work" Our family dog died after 18 years. This part of the song is in reference to Asa having to dig her grave and bury her in the backyard with all our other pets that have passed, hence, pet cemetary. Seriously. haha. It also talks about Asa returning home from tour (checking out the beaches) and being extremely happy to be home. |

| The Junior Varsity – If It Hurts You Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Being Asa's brother, I can tell you the song is not about sodomy, haha, but about our father, to an extent. "Mid life crisis" is in reference to him. And the rest has to do about the dealing with the divorce. |

| The Junior Varsity – Demo Car City Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
My brother is the lead singer for this band. So for anyone that wanted to know, -"Tower tops burning red" is a reference to the blinking red cell phone towers on Asa's drive back home. -On those trips, he would listen to Sunny Day Real Estate. -The town we grew up in has one claim to fame, demolition derbies. The entire song is basically a reference to driving home to Griggsville, Illinois, home of "demo car city". The rest of the song is pretty literal. Hope this helped. |
