i think the whole song is about drug addiction, how he's been there he was led into it by someone he could have known was bad for him but he gave in anyway...i dunno, just my thought. |

i think he is trying to find something more peaceful and different in his life, no doubt because of the rehab he sought to get off cocaine and other things. this was released around the time of Cassadaga, obviously, and he's been seeking... psychic and spiritual help or something (mainly in mexico) |

no you're basically right, though i wouldn't say speed. more accurately, i would say cocaine because it is fact that Conor has been addicted to it for a while. he's not anymore, thank god, but he was at one point around 2005 when he was touring with the faint and living in new york and stuff. and about losing the appetite, cocaine does that, it makes you not want to eat, or i guess drink either. and you're right about the smoking it part, that is how you..i don't know, liquify cocaine to smoke it? i would say injecting it, but then again, i've seen on the addiction shows they do the same thing when combining coke and heroin to smoke it. so i wouldn't doubt Conor has done this. obviously. |
