Wow what an awesome song. It sounds so pretty and has meaningful lyrics. I believe its about how parents shelter their children when they are very young and make them believe the world is so happy and peaceful because they believe their children aren't ready to know the truth. And then when they grow up they realize its not true anymore. |

It could just be a horror story. lol I'm pretty sure its like an allegory though. I'm just unsure of what it would be refering to exacly. I suppose though, that you can apply it to many, many things, you can even take it literally. I really like this song though. It has an awesome sound. =] |

I love this song so much. It has such an awesome guitar! But yeah I've heard that this song is about Ryan's father and his battle with acoholism. Very sad when you think about that. Oh and the title comes from when his father once said, "If you think you're so tough then why don't you eat nails for breakfast and tacks for snacks." |

| Oh yeah I also think this song is connected to the songs, "Lying Is the Most Fun..." and "Its Better If You Do". Cuz "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off. But its better if you do." is a movie quote. (don't remember which movie >.<). and then the song "But Its Better If You Do" leads into "I Write Sins...". I think its like a lil story. She cheated on him so he breaks up with her then he goes to a strip club to forget about her. But all he really wants is love, so he crawls back to her and then they're gonna get married. | |
