| Most of the song sounds like she's pissed off at our drug laws ("I'm guilty by a rotten rule"), like how drugs like Xanax are totally legal, but you can get thrown in jail for having pot or something to smoke it with (a "piece"). I have no idea what she's going on about with the cat and dog stuff, though. | |

Eyes lit On sharp threats From dark lips But lights press The soft skin To rough hands These are the correct lyrics. The vocals are sampled, and the "eye" sample from the beginning is played randomly throughout, making it sound as if she's saying "I" or "I'm" or various other things instead of the above lyrics. So, adding in the "eye" sample, a more accurate representation would be: Eyes lit (eye) On sharp threats (eye) From dark (eye) lips (eye eye eye eye eye) But lights press (eye) The so-oft skin To rough ha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ands At the end of the song, the original sample is played mostly uninterrupted, and you can clearly hear that the additional "eye"s aren't there. |
