The songs about Anorexia and sadness in general, and yes, anorexia, the Fiona Apple fans here will know that she herself has suffered from Anorexia Nervosa and she knows what shes on about, thats why her songs make so much sense to some people and look stupid or "too slow" too others. Plus I think she could very well be using "him" so called, Anorexia, because Anorexia is just like a person, it's a part of you. Most stories which make sence are something like this: The boyfriend of the anorexic girl broke up with her, he "wouldn't put his lips to hers" Because he said he couldn't stand watching her kill herself. :D Elly |

Okay so according to me the song is about an eating disorder in general, cause that fits in with everything, especially the repeated mirror lines, "You'd swear you're not who you used to be" It makes heaps of sence being about an anorexic/bulimic person. Also, the CONFUSION, the repeating it all sounds familiar to people who've been diagnosed with depression or bipolar or anything familiar. It's just a sad song. Love Elly |
