I would agree that this song is over his father.. But this part confuses me "I'm never going down, I'm never coming down No more, no more, no more, no more, no more" Surely that refers to drug abuse? |

Too me, this song seems to mean something different to what most of you see it as. Looking at the lyrics in depth, I don't see the chorus as anything to do with it being "Just a punk rock song", but they're attempt to share their views with those who actually give a shit. I see the chorus at them saying that it is just a song, not a solution, but they have wrote it to encourage people to find a solution. The problem, I think is the Greed and suffering in the world ("One in five kids below the poverty line") and how people can so easily turn a blind eye to it (And the figures don't lie they speak of human disease, But we do what we want and we think what we please). An amazing song, and is incredibly moving, which would be unusual to find in todays over publicized punk bands (I'm looking at bands like Sum41). |
