I don't think that's what they mean by the lyrics. I'm still learning German but here's what I think: Meine Stimme gegen ein Mobiltelefon "gegen" means "against", but here it means "for" as in "trade for". So the correct meaning is: My voice, for your mobile phone. My fist, for your nail-care lotion. My teeth, for those from Dr. Best and his son. My soul, for your gentle epilation. Meaning she wants to trade all the artificial products for the real ones, her original life. And when she says: An dem Produkt ist was kaputt, das ist die Reklamation She means: Your product is faulty, this is my complaint (reason) for returning it. Great song.. One of their greatest ever. |
