OK, I too signed up just to comment on this song. I use this site all the time for lyrics and song meanings, so I'm glad I finally got around to doing it so I can comment too. To me this song seems like he's totally into this girl but he realizes the relationship might not be working. He is insecure about the relationship/feels the end is coming but things arent what they used to be (stories of the greater years). He wants to hang onto this relationship and those memories forever but he acknowledges things arent working and doesn't want her to stick around just so she doesnt hurt him. He is basically admitting he would be there for her forever so if she wants to be done with it, shes gonna have to do it, not him, he will continue to love and sing to her of greater things for all of time. i dont know, i'm still drunk from last night |
