| Phish – Sample In A Jar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
First of all, I love Phish and most of their lyrics probably have no meaning at all. Probably most songs were made up when the band wasn't sober. I don't really know anything about the individuals of the band but if these lyrics do have a meaning, I would say it was about a girl and a guy tripping and/or drinking and then driving and crashing and dying. I get the idea that the kids were not sober from the "And I was foggy rather groggy, you helped me to my car." And I get car out of this with the "metal tangle" and "The binding belt enclosing me" and the "jar" part from "sample in a jar." I am pretty sure that "Elihu" may be some sort of God and the name Leemor has a meaning that means "Myrrh" which happens to be a "holy oil" that is used as an incense in funerals and cremations. This is why I see it as a death by car accident because of drunk driving. |

| State Radio – Ill Advised Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Most of State Radio's song have to do with government and war and things like that. If I'd have to guess, I would say it would be about a ground soldier killing enemy soldiers in a war. I almost feel like it also portrays one feeling revenge. It's hard to explain, but its only my opinion on the song. | |
