"I fell into the trap, Then she goes" should be: "Or fell into the trap Then she'd call" also, the second verse should be: "Though heavily we bled Still on we crawl Try to catch a cannonball And a slowly burning tide Through my veins is flowing From my shipwreck I heard her call" I think it helps to understand the song this way, although I'm not sure I can fully understand it yet! Such a heartfelt song :) |

| I heard this on Later Live... with Jools Holland as was blown away. Such a beautiful song, and the way he sings it makes it feel so raw. I find myself clinging to the change of line in the final chorus; if not it is a very sad song indeed. It's true that only love can help us through the darkness and long, lonely nights. | |
