Who is she talking to if not The Rake? And how does "The Hazards of Love 3 (Revenge!)" fit in? I admit, the introduction of The Rake says nothing about his infatuation with Margaret, but the rest of the album seems to rely on the fact that he kidnaps her. |

This is the saddest bright eyes song of all of them. All of Noise Floor is substantially sadder than anything else, and the rest is pretty sad. I guess Conor just makes these sad ones as B tracks. |

I just took it to be about perspective, and how when you leave a place, you learn that everyone else views you differently. He was always a vampire (metaphorically), he just didn't learn it until he saw what nonvampires looked like. |
