There's always been a lot of confusion about the NW Alabama music scene. Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals actually stands for Florence Alabama Music Enterprises. Then you have Muscle Shoals Sound Studio which was located in Sheffield, Alabama, not Muscle Shoals. Throw in Wishbone, Broadway, Widgett, Quinvy, etc and you have quite a large number of studios in a very small area. |
