my parents are divorced and it's scary how accurate this is. there couldn't be a more perfect song describing it. it feels like the whole world crashing down upon you and you had no say in any of it. they're so caught up in their problems they never once ask if you're ok. i remember our last christmas as a family. it was horrible. everyone was faking a smile, pretending like everything was ok, but it wasn't. and i don't think it was fair to put me and my brother through it. we knew nothing was ok. so why did we have to suck it up for one day and pretend like it was? i'm officially in love with this song. though truthfully, i never hated my parents. i'm not sure about my brother though. he very well might... |

"cory's eyes are like a jungle" i think maybe it's something a long the lines of she gets lost / tangled up in his eyes like you can in a jungle. "He whispers songs into my window In words that nobody knows" i'm thinking that this part means that he inspires her songs or "whispers" them to her. |
