This is such a brilliant song....and SO commonly overlooked on the album. The choir adds so much, the lyrics in general are moving, and the theme of trying to stay together in the relationship/make things work is very relatable to many....but I feel the desperation in the last lines make the song whole. "And I don't know where to look, my words just break and melt. Please, just save me from this darkness...please just save me from this darkness..." |

Very inspirational, very soothing. There is so much wrong in this world, yet it is so difficult to bring oneself to make a difference. It seems there's not good place to start. It's easy to get caught up in the insanity of it all, and suddenly nothing is certain. The only thing to do is keep breathing....keep going, keep trying, keep loving, keep working to do good. This song is so powerful and so full of meaning...to me, it's about contemplating suicide and the struggle for acceptance. It's about help, about love, about care. It's about not knowing the pain one feels, and wishing you did know so you could have helped. It's about preventing suicide and promoting awareness. It's deeply about friendship and love. It makes a world of difference to know someone cares...you can save a life. |
