Oddly enough this hasn't been mentioned, I though it would be one of the first to be mentioned. In John F. Kennedy's inaugural speech, Kennedy came out with the infamous passage (I'm not even American and I know this by the way); "Ask not, what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country." So Mustaine twisted this to create one of the best lyrics in all of Thrash Metal, and my personal favourite; "Don't ask what you can do for your country - ask what your country can do for you." It's such an awesome, hard hitting line in it's fashion, perfect for the song and mentality of Thrash. Take no prisoners, take no shit! |

| Yes, Shaun Ryder did change his lyrics, just evidentally, you got them wrong too. Shaun wanted to say initially "Most of these GUYS SNORT cocaine" (you can't smoke coc'). He then changed it to "most of these men seem like SURFS". Which Ryder firstly wanted to say "Smurfs" but he had a slight fear of a copyright breech. | |

A. It's not "you keep on piling out, not pulling back", it's "you keep on piling on, not putting back". B. It's not "turn to crack" nor "start to crack", it's "tend to crack". C. Like said there, it's "you're not made of gene" instead of "you're not made of king" (don't know where you got that from) D. Also said before, it's not "order a line" it's "hold the line". |
