I agree that this song is meant to be about two separated lovers or a relationship that cannot be. However, I have another interpretation that I like even better. When I hear this song, I think about finding true love or a soul mate. The two people have never met, but they know they are out there somewhere, and they are searching for each other. They go to bars to try to find each other but have no luck at first. When they talk about each other's words in their memory and picking up from the last place they left off, it could mean that since they are true soul mates, they may have already been together in a previous life and are looking for each other again in this one. When they finally find each other in the third bar, their explosive joy and passion sets it on fire. Just another way to take it. |
