I believe you are absolutely correct. I think this lyric basically removes any doubt: "She's in the closet praying lord please get me outa here
but you don't care, you don't, you don't, you don't, you don't"
I dont think 'you' is god due to the mention or the lord in the previous line, therefore it would be the father. At least thats what I think. |

I looked through the comments the best I could to see if someone posted this already, but the song has a similarity to the story of Nero. (I had to wikipedia all my facts because i only remembered a little of the story from learning it in middle school 8 years ago)
He was known as the ruler who, well, burned rome down. And "fiddled while Rome burned"

This isn't very relevant, but I live 5 minutes outside of cassadaga. It is a very spiritual place, its the kind of place high schoolers go to get a scare, normally its pretty good at doing so. its a really small place, you drive right through it. Besides being known as a scary little town its not very popular at all, I was surprised when i heard the name of the album, its pretty awesome though! Sorry just thought it was cool haha. |
