I thought the song was about a girl who slept with a bunch of different guys, one got her pregnant and because of this her parents "disowned her". She either has the baby or aborts it, and the guy who got her pregnant left her, or was never with her, and through out the entire song Rzeznik is just trying to tell her he loves her and will do anything for her, but she doesn't notice him. |

Weird... I always thought this song was about a guy whos girlfriend gets killed after she goes somewhere then the guy finds her dead and holds her body in his arms hoping she was still alive but realizing she couldnt talk since she was dead then come the police trying to find out what happened to her and they try to blame the guy for killing her but he is innocent and he just wants to know why someone killed her... I didn't know it was supposed to be that the guy killed his girlfriend. That wrecked the whole song for me... |
