i ment that they had a longtime relationship that was dying. not that they had been on the brink of breaking up for a long time. Although i have heard rumors about them being a "on and off" relationship. |

Well to all of you who think Hayley (lyricist/singer) wrote specifically for Twilight, you're wrong. Hayley, on the band's livejournal account, has confirmed that she wrote the song during the Riot! tour, back in Fall 07, before she had even started reading the Twilight series. It just kind of happened to fit with the movie...not very well though.
I interpret this song as either a description of her blooming relationship with current boyfriend, NFG guitarist, Chad Gilbert; the song song was written a couple of months prior to them getting together. Or it is a description of her and Paramore's guitarist, Josh Farro's alleged longtime dying relationship. They were rumored to have broken up during the Riot! tour. I believe that she was the one that broke it off. And this song might be about Josh trying to win her back but she knows that it wont happen. - "Don't know what I want, but I know it's not you, Keep pushing and pulling me down, When I know in my heart it's not you" |

doesnt fit so I think it's about her and Josh Farro's (guitar player from paramore) awkwardness and tension towards each other ever since they broke up. Also, now shes dating Chad Gilbert. Well there is a noticeable difference to Josh's attitude. He and Hayley seem so far from each other now. It's sad because they used to be best friends. Yeah, they still are really good friends, but something is missing. How did they get here? |
