I kinda think this song is about the band pulling through doubts and criticism...and finally making money and earning respect they should have always had. Maybe a previous record label laughed at their EP or something, and he wrote this song about them overcoming and "laughing all the way to the bank" to cash in their fat checks. :D i like it, this song is a confidence booster, almost. |

| This song sounds like he is witnessing his parents fighting constantly as a young scared boy, and he can't escape it and the only thing he can do is learn from it and never do what his parents have done to him. He tried to run to friends houses but it never fully lasts because eventually he'll have to go back to the endless fighting in his household. But he constantly says "you" so maybe he is referring to his father or mother alone doing acts of "domestic violence". So the lyric, "saved by hell" basically means he has learned from his experience with his parents fighting, and will never fight in front of his kids, etc. | |
