wow this song is just....AWESOME! just thought i'd throw in my two cents, but jimi hendrix and kurt cobain were both from Washington, both of them were left-handed, pioneered a new genre, loved by many people, and both stressed the importance of "don't copy me, let me do your own thing" R.I.P Jimi Hendrix R.I.P Kurt Cobain If heaven is real, then i'm goin to hell and Jimi and Kurt are jamming, truly playing the greatest gig in the sky... |

oh my god i love this song I rediscovered Nirvana, and set all of my pink floyd, led zeppelin, circa survive, tool... every other fuckin song and band off to the side and just listened to Nirvana. Brings back memories of a young kid in seventh grade (Not too long ago actually, still in high school) and discovering Nirvana. I listened to In Utero and Incesticide over and over again, my two most prized cds. I was just really baked when this guy started playing the bassline and i just about cried. |

ok! it's bugging me! Just listen to the song. "Leave out the meaning this time" Take it literally next time you listen to this song. Don't think about the lyrics, just let them flow in one ear and out another. I love circa survive =]] |

| A Perfect Circle – The Package Lyrics | 17 years ago |

but, like anything maynard writes, it's a metaphor. Tool isn't APC but he does carry much of it with him. If you follow the drug theme, drug addicts are very greedy. they want/need their fix and they will go at incredible means to get it. Also following this theme, drugs essentially change your life. You become a different person and your friendships and relationships fail, your own family abandons you, almost everybody quits caring about you, and once they realize this, they become greedy with this attitude of 'No one else cares so why should I?' This has probably been said already in different words, but hey, it's just common sense along with witnessing it happen to my friends. |

| Tool – Faaip de Oiad Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
ok so one time i was in my algebra class and I wasn't feeling good and my head was throbbing, so I went to rest my head on my desk and as soon as I hit the desk, I bounced out of my body and I soared up to the top of the classroom. I remember hearing white noise and seeing everybody, but no one had faces. It was like their faces was just skin or covered in something. really creepy. I later found out that I had a blood clot in my brain, which eventually dissolved(how does this happen? someone explain), and I had actually died. So I bought this cd and listened to it, and while Disposition was playing I kept thinking of how good life is. Reflection got me building up tension in my body, and Triad released it all and completed my feeling. Now it was all very subtle, only thinking about it I remember feeling this way because I was listening to the album real quietly to try and wind down to go to sleep. This song(I'm not even going to write its name) came on and I heard the same white noise in my out-of-body experience. I began to listen to the caller on the track, and what he was saying tied in with my thoughts of 'life is precious' and my experience with death. |

ok so the thing of putting viginti tres with wings for marie and syncing with 10000 Days. 10000 days is a second shorter than viginti tres + wings. 46&2 instead of viginti tres would match the times up perfectly. I'm going to try that instead. |

| Tool – Sweat Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this song is about writer's block. "I'm sweating i'm breathing and sinking deeper, it's almost like i'm swimming" and staring and thinking" He's having a hard time thinking and he's starting to sweat so much that it's dripping down his face. "The sun is burning hot again on the hunter and the fisherman and he's trying to remember when, but it makes him dizzy." He's thinking of past experiences in his life, so he can just write something to get his brain going but he can't remember a good one to tell. Indecision maybe? "Seems like I've been here before. Seems so familiar. Seems like I'm slipping into a dream within a dream. Must be the way you whisper." He's trying to think but the same thing keeps coming to mind and he's talking to himself quietly and begins to get tired. "The sun is setting cool again. I'm the thinker and the fisherman and I'm trying to remember when but it makes me dizzy. And I'm sweating, and breathing, and staring and thinking and sinking deeper and it's almost like I'm swimming. Seems like I've been here before. Seems so familiar. Seems like I'm slipping into a dream within a dream. It's the way you whisper. It drags me under and takes me home." GUYS! this pretty much repeated itself. Maynard just turned the 'you' into 'me' for some variation. 'It drags me and takes me home' is referring to the dream. He had a dream and finally got an idea. This is just MY view on it |

if you wanna scare someone, get a couple of people together, get in ninja suits and during the blackness of night, drag someone off and take them somewhere remote and whisper these lyrics into their ear until you let them go. TRUE STORY! I freaked out some teens |

| A Perfect Circle – The Outsider Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ok so pretty much, ya a song about the pointlessness of suicide and this 'drama queen' is so addicted to creating chaos and drama that it (i'm going to refer this character as an it cuz it could just as well be about how people are going gay to get attention and tax benefits when they get married) it is willing to kill themselves to create a big bang and leave a mark, ending their 'story' or life with a huge dramatic finish, like in any movie, play, tv show etc... after taking a drama class i met tons of people like this, all of them surrounded by friends who cared enough to feed their addictions. | |
| A Perfect Circle – Blue Lyrics | 17 years ago |

ok, so bear with me here. listen to Aenima, then listen to this song. sounds almost hypocritical to hear manyard say 'best to keep things in the shallow end 'cause i never quite learned how to swim' anyways, great song |

| I used to think it was about hard drug addictions too... until recently i had a relationship crumble, and she had all my stuff and i had to get it back from her. This song came to my mind and i listened to it over and over again for hours, almost all day in fact. | |
