This song reeks of broken-hearted sarcasm. I love it! =D No, love isn't real. Because just when you think you know what it is, you lose it and realize that obviously it wasn't love, or it was, but unrequited. And at first, he seems sarcastic when he wishes her a good life, but then he sounds a bit more sincere in the words "I'll be happy to see you happy, if it's with me or without me around." Basically he DOES want to see her happy, but not without first making her feel like a total asshole for leaving him in the first place. LOVE this song. =) |

(Psst. This isn't the whole song.) It's about being the best friend when you really want to be so much more. You're there when she needs you and then when she's collected again, you're completely invisible. And eventually you just get tired for fighting for something that will never happen anyway. |

This song is the story of my life. In elementary school, I didn't have any friends, so when middle school rolled around I did everything I could to conform and get people to like me. It took until halfway through freshman year to break that habit. I'm a junior now and I still haven't lived it down. But wow, do I know what it's like to beg people to just give me some time to find the real me. But I must say, it's really funny how often people will criticize you for something you learned from them. Armor for Sleep is amazing! |
