This song is one of my favorites as well. Heppner and Witt sound great together. As for the lyrics, it's about being unhappy with what the world has to offer and asking for a better one to live in but realizing that there is no other. It's pretty straightforward with the meaning if you know a little bit of German. Heppner + Witt + Beautiful lyrics = A VERY good song. |

I've really liked the song itself for so long now and never really took the time to listen to and translate the lyrics (not too great with German.) Funny how I felt the lyrics' meaning through just the song, without actually knowing what they were actually saying. Song is very nicely put together and really makes you fall in love with music all over again. |

Very beautiful and very sad song. I think many paranoid people in relationships can relate to this song extremely well. Even with the slightly comical thought of killing yourself in the name of love, it still keeps very meaningful and realistic feel. Also, I love the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde reference. Loved that book. |

The song is based on the movie "Hard Candy." Or the video is a least; the lyrics are pretty vague, though it's extremely obvious that it's about causing pain to someone. Very good song, though, and a pretty good movie as well. |
