i think the abortion theory holds water but i think an important idea to think is that maybe the song isn't said from just one perspective. the first person portions of the song "I slept all day, i am big boned and fey" may be the child speaking. An old definition of fey is "fated to die soon" qwerty2008 you can be right about that, but poetry and literature is about the literal and the meaning behind it, so there's no conflict with it being about both. Or indeed neither. |
