| George Harrison – Looking for My Life Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| It's a song about innocence, about life surprising you both for good and bad. He seems to be talking about the attack he and Olivia suffer at home. He was stabbed several times at his beloved home in Friar Park, he was literally on his knees trying not to die. I think George bared his soul here, such a beautiful work of art. Gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it. Brainwashed is a masterpiece, every son on it is a keeper. | |

| If you are familiar with H.P. Lovecraft, maybe the first two verses made you think about the myths of Cthulhu. At least that´s what happened to me! | |
| Turin Brakes – They Can't Buy The Sunshine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| You´re right. It´s about selling out. Let me just add that it´s such a perfect pop song !!! | |
| Lou Reed – Street Hassle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"It's a painful song It'll only say the truth It lasts for sad songs" It´s a short story, more than a song, or maybe a short film. He´s a Master. Lou Reed still "had it" back in those days (as Sickboy would say). Waltzing Matilda pays for her gigolo more than 80 bucks, with her life. The second verse is a monologue: "Hey, that cunt's not breathing I think she had too much of something or other Hey, man, you know what I mean I don't mean to scare you..." It´s great man. It´s Scorsese, It´s Tarantino before Tarantino |

| It´s a song about the illusion of reality. About the ridiculous feeling of eternity humankind has. Beautiful poetry. | |

such a beautiful song... I think Byrne plays around with words a little but at the same time there´s a deep reflection about nature of dreams: freedom of being whoever or whatever you dream of and at the same time the loneliness of dreaming. At the same time there´s a parallel between dreaming and dying "...let go off your life". I think he´s also commenting on Jorge Luis Borges when he says "I've been waiting so long Now I am your dream" This is just a hint I give you... if you haven´t read Borges look it up and get yourself a book. You´re in for a great time ! ;) |
