I love love love this song and I think that this song is about illness and how it kills not only the person sick with it, but the people who love him/her. The boy is sick with a serious illness and he promises the girl that he'll make it through. "oh god wipe the sweat from off my brow it's not your fault it's not your fault" - He's saying that's it not her fault, he'll make it through. "two weeks and I am starting to regret the words I said the words I said" - He is starting to regret telling her he can make it through because he knows he cannot live. "outside through grass you cried yourself to sleep blankets in the grass you looked the same as me" - He looks out and sees her, and she looks just as sick as he does. It's killing her, too. |
