To begin, anyone that grew up in a drug heavy enviornment can completely understand what this song is about. It's obviously about taking a night away from coke and not being able to sleep. When you do this as I have with someone you love to the end, they're probably using. It's an indescribable feeling but I'll try my best. You're consumed with what is mock jealousy and your senses are at an absolute. The feeling of being left out... even though it was your choice to isolate yourself. Anger towards those closest to you for associating with your lover without you. It's rough. I am by no means weak, but I cried the first time I heard this song, simply beautiful. As to the user far below me, if you think green's lyrics are trivial, don't name drop bands like the mars Volta and instead tell us what you think this song is about. |
