I'm probably not going to get a reply or whatever to this, but here it is... Are you insane werumm?!!!! I felt insulted that someone would do that to such a great song when I heard it! Yes, Sonne is a great song, and yes, it is sung in German, but that doesn't give anyone the right to take its melody and replace the words that make it sound all Nazi! Then again, I was pretty upset when someone at work told me they were Nazis, because I knew they weren't, so I may be overreacting. As for the song, like I said earlier, it is hands down one of Rammstein's best, along with Rosenrot, Speiluhr, Sehnsucht, Du hast, Benzin, and a whole lot of others ^_^! |

Actually freakishfae, the translation is, "The pain is great like never before." In the German version of the song, the first couple of repeats of the chorus say, "Der Schmerz ist schön wie nie," where "wie" means the comparative "like" and "nie" means "never." Putting the two together, thus, makes "like never before." But you're right on the part where the end of the chorus goes "wie du" instead of "wie nie" a few times. As for the song itself, it sounds a little creepy in parts, but in a way that I like! I find it very hard to not like Rammstein because even their worst stuff (if there's such a thing) has a lot of things that I like! Speaking of which, in response to SilasMoon89's comment about the sound, it does sound a little unclean at first, but as the song continues, I feel as though the fact that the sound isn't all cleaned up just adds to the song. And yes, this song is quite obviously about S&M. |
