This song makes me cry (and I'm a guy; mind you). INTERPRETATION So, anyways, what I believe the song is about is of two people (as always...) who were friends. Maybe, they were even lovers. In the end, the girl leaves (moving out of town?) and has breakfast with the guy. The guy doesn't know that she left until it was too late, and now; years later, he looks around for this girl. (Have you seen this girl??) It seems like he's old enough; since he is "gonna ask her to marry" him. So. he searches around his old town to find her, and asks the neighbors. The neighbors, in turn, say that she moved away. Funny how it rained all day. Anyways, he realizes this and reads a note from the girl. She's not coming back and is trying to forget about her. She probably died or something, or is flying above in an airplane (he was too late). But whatever happened, she's gone, and is over him. COMMENT This song reminded me so much of my Girlfriend. Her voice sounded like the female singer. I realized that I was driving her mad (I was stupid and young and needy) and that's why we separated. Damn, now it's too late--she's washing me out of her hair. |

I watched that Documentary where some dude is saying that there's something satanic in this song, and I saw screw you to him. This song is cool! I love it, I like how it's compose, it's tone, heck, it's meaning. I'm gonna give you an analysis on a selected part of the song--it's one of my favorites. Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on And it makes me wonder. Is there anything evil here? I guess not. There are two paths you can go by--the Road to Destruction, or the Stairway to heaven. What if the path you're going on is the road to destruction? Then, DUH, there's still time to repent! |

| It's definitely about the Persona longing for the love that another person kept giving her, and how she needed it like water. Now that the person is gone, the Persona feels pain because the person isn't there anymore. Who wouldn't? I'd love to sing this to my close female friend. :) Plus, it reminds me of sunsets. :D | |
