1) Its Pete Yorn at the end 2) i think the lyrics at the end are "gasoline will make YOU go faster". that being said the last chorus says "out to take your revenge for the crime, filled with fire and Finally mine" meaning she awoke from he grave filled with fire, as in rage and she is "finally [his]". then he says "well aware that hes falling in love, and that HE is filled with fire, which could mean that he is imagining her awakening and instead sees himself in her place so now he is Drinking gasoline to make the fire which he is filled with "burn faster". i just dont know whether he is talking about getting revenge in her place or killing himself to be with her and using gasoline to burn himself faster, because there is a match being lit. whew that was long :) |

1) the lyrics were submitted january 2007, the album came out october 2007, which means whoever submitted this got the lyrics from a live version of the song, and SOME lyrics were most likely rewritten for the album 2) 1984 is the date of his birth, check wikipedia, and 3) the song is obviously about his outbreak during the writing of the first record, as he explains in the "half of us" interview which justifies the "born a slave in 1984" line, most likely nothing to do with a book thank you. |
