Rated 0 rate down rate up If it IS about Josh. I have this feeling it is regarding his view on Chad Gilbert + the reason they cancelled a tour/ almost broke up. But I don't know, it would make sense that way but it could be about another friend. Like 'Misery Business' was not what we thought it was. They wrote it about a girl who was manipulating and using one of their friends with her sexuality. It is very wordy compared to their other songs. It hasn't really caught my attention as much as "Where the lines overlap". I wish there was a clearer version of that one. Parts of it is kind of like a rap, like the "Don't wanna hear your sad songs" part. That whole bit is basically her speaking/ ALMOST rapping. Its awesome. I love how different it is and I can't wait to see what their new album is like! My favourite line in this song by far is "So sentence me to another life" Its so clever. I love it. Like it means the obvious (with the judge/jury connotations) but also means just give her a whole other life without him if he is just going to judge her the whole time. |

This song is no way about Edward and Bella. (I would have to say that is their other song for Twilight, Decode.) This song is clearly about how Bella feels towards Jacob, it makes perfect sense. "You're pushing and pulling me down to you but i don't know what i want" She finds herself falling in love with Jacob, but she doesn't want to be, it is almost like he is forcing her (pushing and pulling), but she is still in love with Edward so she doesn't know what she wants, she can't choose. "When i caught myself, i had to stop myself, from saying something that, i should have never thought of you.." she finds herself falling for Jacob further and further, and she is about to voice her feelings, and each time she stops herself, realising that she is betraying Edward. And she doesn't want to because she loves Edward, and feels guilty for having these feelings for Jacob. "You got it, you got it Some kind of magic Hypnotic, hypnotic You're leaving me breathless I hate this, I hate this You're not the one I believe in With god as my witness" Its not only Edward who is magical to her. Jacob is too. He leaves her breathless because of how she feels for him. But she convinces herself that he is not what she wants, "i hate this", she wants Edward, not Jacob, so affirms that with "You're not the one i believe in" She believes in Edward and trusts him, not Jacob. "Don't know what I want, but I know it's not you" Okay well this line kind of contradicts itself, but i guess it outlines bella's confusion. She is starting to see clearer that although she does love jacob, she does not love him as much as she loves Edward, he is the one she wants, not Jacob. "I knew, I know in my heart It's not you, I knew, but now I know what I want I want, I want, oh no I should have never thought" Finally she realises that yes she has strong feelings for Jacob, but her feelings for Edward are greater, and she knows she will never want Jacob in that way. She wishes she had never thought of him in that way, not even for a moment, because it hurt both him and her and Edward and made her feel guilty whenever she was with Edward. This song is so beautiful. I'm glad Paramore wrote one for Bella and Jacob, i was worried they would be overlooked before i heard this. |

"Honey is for bees silly bear, besides there's jellybeans everywhere" I think it means that just because someone else has something great (honey), doesn't mean that is what you have to have, it is not the only good thing, there are so many other great things out there to choose from (jellybeans) I guess the bear is Bronx Most of the rest is pretty obvious like the ferris wheel thing "When you wake up the world will come around" I think it means if the world isn't going the way you want it to, all you have to do is wake up and try again and it will "come around", don't give up. I have never heard life lessons put so well for a child, Bronx is the luckiest kid. |

oh and to add to my last comment ^ "last time you came through oh darling i know what you're going through" probably means that the (hypothetical) woman who was in her marriage for the fame etc probably realised that it was wrong and keeps "coming through" it like she is recovering from it like it was an illness or something and the speaker knows what she is going through as he finds himself feeling the same. |

to grayce's comment on how the song is about a woman cheating on her husband with the speaker.. personally i don't think this is it. "does your husband know the way the sunshine gleams from your wedding band" means does your husband know that you (his wife) like to show off your ring and care more about the superficial side of the marriage rather than the more deep meaningful relationship it is supposed to bring. I.e. the speaker is asking the woman if her husband knows that she is in it for the fame and money the marriage brings with it. "I will never end up like him, behind my back i already am, keep a calendar this way you will always know" the speaker doesn't want to be like the husband. He doesn't want to marry someone because they like his money or fame etc. But the speaker (guy who is already married, possibly pete idk) is afraid that he may end up like 'the husband' and it won't be his wife's fault, but his. Maybe he feels he is enjoying the fame/glory too much instead of concentrating on the real meaning of the relationship and having this shitty superificial relationship and is insecure about it, The whole 'keep a calendar...' is to say that maybe it is a matter of time before it happens, maybe not. Idk, that's my take on it. I love this song though. Its so strange listening to EOWYG and then this... i love how rapidly their music styles change. |
