Could be about hallucinogenic mushrooms. The crescent could refer to the tops of the mushrooms if they were cut up to be smoked; And sometimes, when hallucinating, it can feel like your face is melting off and other strange sensations, which may lead to scratching (though i think that line more refers to the crushing and packing before it is smoked). "Scare me if you can, nothing can happen. You stay heavy on my mind, can't escape you if I try, cause I know you're gonna ride." is saying he's not afraid of a bad trip, because he knows it isn't real and he just has to wait it out. "Silenced. Sleeping all day because you know you can't escape the night." refers to the altered state of perception blocking the reality around you. "Regurgitate all your ambitions" ... you often feel sick from the mushrooms. Blue dress would be the stems, and eating the cap would be undressing it. So it could be about eating/smoking hallucinogenic mushrooms. |

| I think Mr. Jones is like an alter-ego of himself. He is "Mr. Jones" -a more formal version of himself, though not really himself at all- to the public because when you're famous everybody is so fake. Also, he's saying that although people like him he can never tell if they like him for who he really is or because he is the famous "Mr. Jones". Although all of this keeps him questioning everything and everybody, he still continues going on because it's not like his dream of becoming famous was imagined, so he is still trying to achieve that. So, basically, he is on his way to living his dream, but it's still not seeming as glorious as he always thought it would be. | |
