Call me crazy, but my interpretation is a bit different than everyone else's appears to be. Basically, the way I take the lyrics is: Girl and boy are in relationship. Boy doesn't treat girl as she wishes to be treated. Girl feels lonely a lot of the time; unloved, which she shouldn't because she's supposed to be with this guy. Girl one day decides to do something about it and takes a different guy home WITH THE INTENTION of being caught. She wants her man to fly off the handle and SHOW SOME EFFING ATTENTION, and what better way to get attention than allowing herself to be caught with a guy who she actually doesn't give a crap about, right? So then, guy does indeed fly off the handle, beats the crap out of the guy (I think that shooting him is a metaphor), and girl realizes that she went about things the wrong way. So now they've both got issues. Guy can't trust the girl and girl's afraid of the raving, brutal lunatic she now knows the guy can turn into. Yah. I must be insane. |
