I've always seen this song as a ghost story. A racecar driver died during the race. The race has ended long ago, but as ghosts go, he repeats his last moments again and again, as well as his doubts and remorse for that wrong move that caused his death. The woman he left behind is lonely and hurting and hopes to someday move on. |
