| Three Dog Night – One (Harry Nilsson cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's too bad that this song is used mostly in comedy movies. It totally kills the effect of what was probably supposed to be a genuine song. | |

Yeah, heh heh. I wasn't thinking when I replied to his comment. But I was listening to it a few days after I left the reply and I started thinking, you know, this doesn't make sense at all. And then I thought, wait, he's not saying that "Universal Mind Control" is bad, he's saying it's good. And that everyone should listen to him. I stopped listening to the song almost two days after I left that comment. But I'm not complaning, I totally deserved to get pwned. |

| What does this song mean? I NEED TO KNOW. It sounds sweet, but I refuse to listen to it until I know what it means! | |

| Oh yeah, and the official video for this song has something to do with the Fantastic Four. Of course, if the song actually has ANYTHING to do with the Fantastic Four, then everything else I said was wrong. | |

I think it's about someone who has been living life on the edge and now they're so far into it they can't get out: Always take ya to the limit One fool hanging off a precipice Come on it's the escalation Come in feel the stimulation But at the same time, he acknowledges that there is something wrong with the way he's living and he realizes time is running out, and therefore wants to be "saved": Yeah, now wont you, save me? 'Cause I have been through all the rest Keep it comin', keep it comin' I've gotta find a way, gotta find a way Time is running late I've gotta find a way, gotta find a way I think my souls at stake The "Keep it comin', keep it comin'" is probably referring to the fact that the person in question isn't going to stop unless someone comes along and "saves him". And since the song ends that way, I'm going to assume that the singer (or person speaking) has concluded by resigning himself to a life of reckless behavior. |

| Lupe Fiasco – Dumb It Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think that every musical genre has a couple of geniuses that make it worth paying attention to, rock had a few (Radiohead, Hendrix, etc.). Rap music, for the most part, is just mindless self-indulgent rhyming and while rap has had a few true "artists", the likes of Kanye West and Nas, I think that Lupe Fiasco is the true genius in the rap game. And this song just proves it, this is easily the deepest rap song I've ever heard. And it took a couple of listenings to get it all. |
