I see two ways in this song the first one is a relationship that got problems with jealousy or another kind of feeling I see this in - " “All I wanted to be was one of your children” See how clean the water is where you are," and in this another part - "And know the hidden messages you hear, they aren’t real. You tricked your mind to feel." the person is inventing problems and causing troubles in the relationship its just a possibility the other one its the same that many people said someone that is addicted in a religion that forget live a normal life religion is for help people and not to blind but some people cant see that and live a pathetic life cheating youselfs and a note "You lost your turn" means that the person gave up the relationship is over and there is no more chances for this time but in the end he said that after the person changes they can try one more time |

I just sing up in the songmeanings right now just to talking about this song I dont believe that Anthony thinks the God is a lie or something like that in the first time I thought that was a song about a lost relationship until this part "find me a place to begin" so I understand this song is about religion I think that maybe he is disappointed with something that happened He knows that he is alone and without faith but he still want to believe maybe in this part "And I could never find my way without But you're already there And we, we've come a long long way without Without maps in our hands" he is saying that he knows that cant still going on with Him but he still walking and he miss Him I saying that cause I'm christian and I have already felt that I can "walk" without God, but I know that isnt the same thing when he say "If I could get this feeling to end Trembling eyelids holding me there" the despair that he feels is about doesnt have God no more with him obviously that is my opinion about the song this is what I have already felt in my life the same thing that he expressed in the song and maybe he doesnt believe in the same God as I |
