In this song for me the chorus starts off as a statement that he will be a Hero of war, and each time it is sung it starts to turn into more of a question as he is forced to take quiestionable actions in the field. The song finishes with a different version of the chrous that really has the soldier questioning the original statement. It also seems that the soldier in the song becomes the recruitment officer at the end of the song indicating that the cycle is going to continue with a new soldier. This is an amazing song and can be taken in many ways but it does have a powerful meaning which ever way you look at it |

| I have been through this exact experience, I was with a girl and I would rather spend time with her instead of my mates and would constantly blow them off to "run away" with her. I would do everything and anything for her even "give her the sky" if I could but in the end it wasnt enough and after a long time she left me. At the end of it all I turned around and seen that "all my friends were gone" as I had neglected them for so long. I have been a RA fan for many years and this song means so much to me already and evokes a lot of feeling, absolutely love it! | |
