| The Rocket Summer – So, In This Hour... Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song is indescribable. I understand that it was probably written about God, but I love how Bryce's lyrics can be interpreted differently by everyone. I see this song as a complete empowerment of self: like some of the earlier comments, I see it as a decision to live life for the moment, to get the most out of every hour. When I sing "So please take my life and use it, I'm ready" it's to myself: it's time to start living. My favourite line: "So much feeling, oh my soul is singing!!" This is the only song that brings me up when I'm really really down. Thankyou Bryce! |

| Ah!! Chillin you are so right! When I first heard this song I thought they'd remixed The Sims music hahaha. Such a great song. | |

About death, I assume, and his view that death is a heightened experience, and not to be feared. Similarities to Death Will Never Conquer? Regardless, an AMAZING song to top off an AMAZING EP that I would happily have paid double for :D |

I've never thought of this as a sad song! It reminds me of how I feel with my best friend (who is a guy) - I feel safe, I feel warm - every lyric fits how he makes me happy. There are no romantic feelings whatsoever, but this fits perfectly. The bit about quiet time for me reflects how he's the only person I can be with and perfectly understand without having to speak, which is great because I hate having to word what I'm trying to say correctly. Undoubtedly an amazing song. But then it is by Coldplay, so what did I expect? |
