well they may be christian but I wouldn't call them a christian band. Ultimately music is what you make of it and what you might see there another may not. Frankly you can pick and choose scripture all you want to make pieces of it fit but that's your interpratation. |

it's always interesting what people emphasize and ignore. To me the song is about being hurt (in a relationship or just a friendship) and dealing with that; I have to say I find it interesting how the song starts hopeful but realistic " I fight for the chance to be lied to again", gets really negative and yet ends on a positive note. I have to say if anything this sounds more like an analogy for life. Life lies to you and yet in order to live you must fight for that chance to be lied to again and eventually you'll find people that will be there for you. But unless you risk you can't gain anything |

I'm sorry normally I don't do this but seriously have you evert had a truely serious relationship? have you ever loved someone romantically so much that it sort of hurt? frankly I think 'transcends the bad things' is perfect and an apt description of what in the end love is. |

To me I wasn't exactly sure what the song was about, but after thinking about it I think this is the important part: Calling Calling out The darkest reaches of my soul are riddled with self-doubt Crawling Crawling out My will to fight will more than suffice When others would lay down It's only as dark as you make it Up to then I think it could be many things but I think this part is clearly about self destruction and despair (the last line makes that pretty clear). So to me this is about a self destructive person that knows it (maybe even depressed) and knows they can't stop themselves but is calling out for help from someone anyone. |

I can't believe no one's commented on this, I just found this song and wow I like it. I am not sure what it's about, the allusions to Alice in Wonderland is undenialable. I have to wonder if it's about the same theme as teh book, or perhaps it's all just a bad acid trip |

to me it's about the choices we make and how sometimes we make a choice and then wonder what in the hell we've done (evil done in the name of good). That said it's still a fun song to dance to and I also think it's about being hedanostic. |

| I'd point out that when he's singing 'so deep that it didn't even bleed me' I think he's talking about how alot of times a deep cut doesn't bleed at first and your staring at it a little in shock and then suddenly it's bleeding badly. | |
