This song is really amazing. I love how Scroobius Pip's lyrics are always really meaningful, or really silly, and I love them for it, but this song totally took me by surprise when I listen to it because I was listening to it and I was like: "Shit, did what i think happen in that song really happen? if so, very sad!"
and then i was all gloomy for the rest of the day. |

It's ironic because everything is going wrong, yet they're so happy, which is the opposite of what happened for Ian Curtis, who everything was going right for yet he was so unhappy.
Also, I can see that there is no point in telling all the angry Joy Division fans out there that they're being stupid. I started listening to Joy Division when I was tiny because my sisters loved it, I'm 16 now, and I still love them and I thought that it was great that more people would hear this song and decide to listen to Joy Division and New Order.

I think it is just being with someone that you don't exactly feel as though you are good enough for them, yet bits of it are almost like he loves them but resents them as well.
