When I hear this song, I don't really think of it as a metaphor for our relationship with God and how as christians, we should let him drive... When I hear this song, I think about having been hurt, and rather than dealing with the problem, just trying to run away. It's to the people that want to help, saying that they have to take the time to really get inside, to get to know you, and earn your trust and friendship rather than just faking it.... It's about being cautious to not get hurt again, but knowing that we need other people in our lives to support us and to just enjoy life with.... |

| Does this song remind anyone else of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? I recently just read the book then saw the movie for the first time, and since then, I can't not associate this song with the book when I hear it. | |
